Welcome

I love to write observational poetry. It’s based on what I’ve seen, read, and lived. I’m fascinated to see how people strive to live in a way which delivers a sense of healthy balance; within themselves in mind and body, between each other in work and play, and in relation to our beautifully complex planet Earth. And so, many of the poems convey messages of hope; identifying ways of living holistically that allow this ideal balance to be in closer reach. The natural world, its people and systems and, most importantly, our minds and bodies, are inherently entwined. And it is because of this fundamental interconnection that they are fragile; so easily tipped into states of crisis. It is hoped that the reader will be taken, through events and concepts, in places in recent time, towards the stark realisation that we need to start living differently now, for the sake of our own and of future generations.
